Serica Energy (AIM:SQZ) plans to move its listing from AIM to the Main Market, the London-listed North Sea oil and gas producer said.
The transfer will be carried out through an introduction of Serica's existing shares, meaning no new securities will be issued and no funds raised alongside admission.
Serica expects to end the year as the sixth-largest producer on the UK Continental Shelf, with a balance of gas and oil output.
The move follows a year of expansion for the company, which has completed three acquisitions in 2025, refinanced its debt facilities to $750 million, and agreed a recommended cash takeover of Pharos Energy as a first step toward international diversification.
"The move to the Main Market reflects the scale and maturity of the business today, supporting our ambition to deliver long-term value for shareholders through providing the platform to take our investment case to the widest possible audience," said David Latin, Serica's chair, who added that the company has "come a long way" since listing on AIM more than 20 years ago.
Serica said it will provide a further update on the status of its admission applications and the associated timeline in due course.
