URU Metals reclassifies Zeb Target 2 as secondary after ground surveys

Ground geophysics at the Zeb Nickel Project confirmed magnetic bodies in both northern and southern Target 2 areas but left Target 2 as a secondary follow-up behind the Company’s priority Target 1.

URU Metals (LSE:URU) has announced that interpretation of a recently completed ground geophysics programme at the Zeb nickel project, South Africa, has refined additional targets within the broader feeder system, but ranked Target 2 behind Target 1 for immediate follow-up.

The company said the ground data improves target definition and will be integrated into its Leapfrog 3D geological model to rank targets ahead of a flexible, staged drill programme that will test the best‑ranked prospects, including both Platreef‑style and higher‑grade massive sulphide targets.

"The Target 2 results help us better understand and rank the wider target pipeline at Zeb Nickel and, despite greater complexity, the area remains geologically interesting and will warrant follow‑up testing," said Richard Montjoie, Exploration Manager.

Final drill‑hole locations, depths and sequencing will be set after target ranking, land access planning and contractor engagement.

URU added that it is in the process of sourcing drill contractors and will update the market in due course.
