Aptitude Software Group (LSE:APTD), a London-listed provider of AI-native Finance ERP software, said Kenneth Paqvalén will join as Chief Financial Officer and take a seat on the Board as an Executive Director from 21 September.

Paqvalén brings more than 20 years of finance leadership experience across international technology and software businesses, having held CFO roles at financial crime compliance regtech firm Napier AI, digital asset provider R3, and cloud data transformation company Matillion.

Alex Curran, Aptitude's Chief Executive Officer, said Paqvalén's experience and commercial focus "will be highly valuable as we continue to scale Fynapse and the Finance ERP opportunity."

Ivan Martin, Aptitude's Chair, said the appointment follows a thorough search process and reflects the board's focus on securing the right financial leadership for the company's next phase of growth.

Paqvalén said he was joining Aptitude "at such an important stage in its journey", citing the group's Fynapse platform, growing customer base and position in the emerging Finance ERP category.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

Aptitude Software has appointed Kenneth Paqvalén as CFO and Executive Director, effective 21 September, following a board search process. Paqvalén brings over 20 years of finance leadership across technology and software firms, including prior CFO roles at Napier AI, R3, and Matillion. The appointment is framed as supporting the company's scaling of its Fynapse platform and Finance ERP opportunity, but the announcement contains no financial guidance, strategic shifts, or material business updates.

Investment case

A CFO appointment is a governance event, not a business catalyst. The hire signals the board's confidence in the company's growth trajectory and its need for experienced financial leadership at scale, but does not alter revenue, profitability, or product roadmap. Investors should monitor whether Paqvalén's tenure brings improved financial transparency or capital allocation discipline.
