Allergy Therapeutics (AIM:AGY) (AIM: AGY), the fully integrated commercial biotechnology company specialising in allergy immunotherapies, has appointed Helge Weiner-Trapness as executive chairman.
He succeeds Peter Jensen OBE, who steps down as non-executive chairman after more than 15 years with the Group, including 16 years on the Board.
Weiner-Trapness has served as chief strategy officer and executive director since January, bringing more than 30 years in global investment banking, most recently as vice chairman, Global Banking at HSBC Holdings.
He will work alongside CEO Manuel Llobet as the group explores a potential dual primary listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, alongside its existing AIM listing.
"Allergy Therapeutics has established a leading position in its core markets, with a significant portfolio and an innovative pipeline that present a strong platform for future growth", Weiner-Trapness said, adding that a Hong Kong listing "could provide access to key new markets, support expansion into Asia and create a platform to further develop our R&D capabilities".
Jensen will remain on the board as a non-executive director through the transition but will not stand for re-election at the next Annual General Meeting.
Jensen's tenure oversaw the recent German launch of Grassmuno, part of a wider portfolio positioning the group across EU, non-EU and US markets.
