GSTechnologies (LSE:GST) has completed its $1.0 million strategic investment in Sodales AI, securing a 10% equity stake in the Singapore-based artificial intelligence company.
The fintech and blockchain group first agreed the deal on 9 July, structured through an arrangement with Wide Ascent, which is contributing agentic AI technology and intellectual property to Sodales AI by assignment or exclusive licence.
Sodales AI is developing an enterprise-scale agentic artificial intelligence operating system, and GST said the investment supports its strategy of combining AI with its existing payments, blockchain and digital asset capabilities.
The two companies, alongside GST subsidiary Angra Global, are working on an agentic neobanking platform that integrates autonomous AI agents with GST's payment infrastructure, stable token ecosystem and compliance processes.
GSTechnologies also prepaid $1 million of its $10 million unsecured term loan facility with Clarivan Group Kommanditbolag, which it entered into on 17 June and drew down in two $5 million tranches during July and August.
The remaining $9 million of the facility carries 5% annual interest and is repayable in full on 31 July 2030 unless prepaid, redeemed or converted earlier.
The Sodales AI investment was funded from existing resources, including availability under that same loan facility.
GST reported a net loss of $5.46 million for the year to 31 March, against $2.31 million a year earlier, with cash down to $1.85 million from $4.21 million at the same year-end.
