Kooth (AIM:KOO) has secured independent validation for its Soluna youth mental‑health platform after the State of California Department of Health Care Services published an impact report on the Behavioral Health Virtual Services programme, a core part of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative.

Kooth (AIM:KOO) said in an RNS the report documents Soluna’s continued expansion across California since its 2024 launch and highlights the service’s ability to reach young people early and those who might otherwise go without support, while delivering clinical effectiveness safely and at lower cost.

The report also flags forthcoming independent research from Northwestern University's Lab for Scalable Mental Health, which Kooth says confirms “significant and sustained improvements in wellbeing among Soluna users - regardless of background, identity or platform behaviour.”

"The California Department of Health Care Services' 2025 Impact Report demonstrates the tangible benefit Soluna is delivering to young people across the State. We have shown that Kooth's model of providing safe, cost-effective early mental health support can be delivered at scale, with meaningful and sustained outcomes for individuals and communities. The Impact Report is welcome evidence that our model works, and that it can be replicated. We look forward to building on this progress as part of our ongoing collaboration with DHCS, as well as delivering on our vision to expand Soluna's impact across the US and UK." Kate Newhouse, CEO of Kooth, said.
