GEO Exploration completes airborne magnetic and radiometric survey at Gorge

It has finished a fixed‑wing magnetic and radiometric survey over its Gorge Project in Western Australia ahead of schedule, supplying data to refine structural interpretation and prioritise drill and geochemical targets.

GEO Exploration (AIM:GEO) completed last week a fixed‑wing magnetic and radiometric airborne survey over the Gorge Project, marking a step change in the company’s target definition work programme.

The survey, flown by MAGSPEC Airborne Surveys Pty, will support litho‑structural geological interpretation and the design of proposed geochemical surveys and drill targeting.

Exploration Manager Tom Harris is on site conducting field reconnaissance including validation of historical workings, geological mapping and assessment of priority areas identified from historical data.

GEO recently acquired Exploration Licence E08/3737 through its 100% owned subsidiary Gorge Gold Pty Ltd; the 81 sq km licence sits roughly 110km west of Paraburdoo in the Proterozoic Capricorn Orogen and has recorded gold over about 5km of strike.

Historical sampling and small‑scale workings at Gorge include rock chips up to 134g/t Au, soil results up to 233g/t Au, elevated drainage samples and multiple near‑surface nuggets ranging from under 2g to more than 100g.

"The completion of this survey represents an important step in refining our geological understanding of Gorge and will assist in prioritising targets for follow‑up geochemistry and drilling," Omar Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer, said.

GEO said survey results will be interpreted to refine targets for follow‑up geochemistry and drilling and the company will update shareholders as those interpretations are received.
