Potentially AI (AIM:AGI) said it will give the first 10,000 people who join its waitlist early access to its platform and a year of free membership, as part of the launch of its consumer product.

The AIM-listed company, which describes itself as a collective AI business offering access to more than 1,000 industry-leading models, is using the giveaway to seed adoption ahead of a tiered pricing launch.

Potentially plans three membership levels: Protect at £7.99 a month for text-based models, Create at £19.99 a month covering image, video and audio models, and World at £59.99 a month for team collaboration.

The free offer covers 12 months of the Protect tier, worth roughly £100, alongside priority access to the company's Prompt Club and opportunities to test features before wider release.

"This free access to our entry-level product will also hopefully encourage consumers to try the other tiers of Potentially's offering, as they experience the benefits that integrating multi-model AI into their professional and personal lives bring," said Oliver Yonchev, co-founder and chief operating officer.

The company said it intends to grow alongside its early users as it develops the product further.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

Potentially AI is seeding its consumer product launch by offering 10,000 free annual memberships (worth ~£100 each at the Protect tier) to early waitlist joiners, alongside priority feature access. The giveaway is designed to drive adoption and encourage users to upgrade to higher-tier paid plans (Create at £19.99/month, World at £59.99/month). This is a customer acquisition play ahead of monetization, not a revenue event.

Investment case

The free tier strategy trades near-term revenue for user base and engagement data, betting that early adopters will convert to paid tiers. Success depends on conversion rates and retention—neither disclosed here. The company's Google cloud credits are expected to reduce infrastructure costs during launch, which may help offset the cost of serving free users, but the unit economics of this giveaway remain opaque.
