Fulcrum Metals eyes gold target at Big Bear after soil sampling

Soil sampling at Fulcrum Metals' Big Bear project returned a peak 1,460 ppb (1.46g/t) Au, outlined a regional 2km by 2km target inside a 3km gold corridor and leaves multiple permitted, drill-ready targets.

Fulcrum Metals (AIM:FMET) reported soil sampling at its Big Bear project in Ontario returned a peak 1,460 ppb gold result and outlined a regional 2km by 2km target within a broader 3km gold corridor that remains open along strike.

The programme collected 639 samples and delivered 51 highly anomalous samples above 30ppb Au, rock assays up to 139g/t Au, and an approved permit package allowing up to 30 drill pads; Fulcrum Metals is advancing cyanide‑free processing technology and exploration projects in Canada.

"The soil programme has defined a regional stand-out gold target within a 3km corridor that remains open along strike," Ryan Mee, Chief Executive Officer.

Sampling focussed on the Schreiber‑Pyramid, Twomey and Schreiber Johnston Gap areas and identified new anomalous zones north of Powerline and southeast of Schreiber‑Pyramid while extending the Johnston‑McKenna footprint.

Combined work since 2020-soils, rock sampling and VTEM-has built a database including more than 37 rock samples over 1g/t (15 over 10g/t), soil highs to 1.82g/t, mapped shear zones and five further VTEM priority targets.

Fulcrum says four prospects are drill‑ready (Schreiber‑Pyramid No.1 North and South, Johnston‑McKenna and Cook Lake), nine more are being advanced to drill status and the project remains open for further target generation.

The company said its immediate focus is evaluating partnership opportunities for Big Bear consistent with its approach at Tully Gold and across its uranium portfolio.
