Corero Network Security (AIM:CNS) has converted a co-development arrangement with TierPoint into a $1.1 million, three-year commercial contract for its Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) product.

The AIM-listed cybersecurity company, which specialises in distributed denial of service (DDoS) protection, first unveiled the WAAP product in the third quarter of 2025 as part of its CORE platform offering, developed in partnership with TierPoint, a global data centre and managed cloud services provider.

The contract follows completion of the development phase and a successful production deployment, marking the first commercial revenue from the WAAP capability.

Chief Executive Carl Herberger said the deal opens avenues that did not exist for the company two years ago: "Our WAAP product, along with other capabilities of the CORE platform, provide non-DDoS revenue opportunities that were not available to Corero two years ago."

TierPoint's Chief Information Security Officer, Paul Mazzucco, said the solution addresses gaps in the broader WAAP market and expands the company's security offering to its own customers.

The agreement deepens a pre-existing partnership between the two companies and signals Corero's push to broaden its revenue base beyond its core DDoS protection business.
