FDM Group (LSE:FDM) said on Wednesday that its full-year financial performance to 31 December will be in line with the board's expectations.
The London-listed IT professional services provider, which trains and places technology consultants with clients, reported that consultant numbers assigned to clients rose to 2,070 at 31 October, up from 2,042 at the end of June and 2,003 a year earlier.
The group pointed to a pickup in customer engagement first flagged at the half-year, with North American operations showing signs of more normalised hiring cycles and UK Public Sector and Retail-focused activity proving resilient, while trading elsewhere remains mixed.
Cash stood at £31.9 million at 31 October, up from £31.1 million at the end of June but down from £40.1 million a year earlier, with no debt on the balance sheet. An interim dividend of 3.0p per share, worth £3.3 million, is due to be paid on 13 November, against 6.0p per share, worth £6.6 million, paid in the prior year.
"We continue to adjust our resources in line with market conditions, prudently managing our cost base while retaining sufficient agility to respond to evolving client demand," the group said.
