Eurocell (LSE:ECEL) has appointed Matt Worster as its new chief financial officer. He will join the board as an executive director and succeed Michael Scott when Scott retires in the Autumn, following a February update that deferred his retirement.

Worster has worked at the Travis Perkins Group since 2014 and is currently Finance Director of Travis Perkins General Merchant. He was previously Director of Investor Relations at Travis Perkins PLC and earlier served as Finance Director at CCF. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is described in the announcement as an experienced capital markets professional with sector experience in distribution and building materials.

"We are delighted to welcome Matt as Chief Financial Officer. He has significant financial and investor relations experience as well as a strong understanding of the UK construction industry. We look forward to welcoming him in the Autumn and wish Michael all the best for his retirement at that time," Will Truman, Chief Executive Officer, said.
