Galantas Gold Corporation (AIM:GAL), the AIM and TSX-V listed gold miner, has lost its chair after Róisín Magee resigned from the board to take a senior role in private equity.

The departure is effective immediately, leaving David Cather, an existing director, to serve as interim chair while the board considers a permanent appointment.

The board now comprises five directors following the change.

President and CEO Mario Stifano said: "On behalf of the entire Board, I want to thank Róisín for her valued contributions to Galantas and wish her well in her future endeavours."
