Intercede Group (AIM:IGP), the digital identity and access management software specialist, said on Monday that it has launched MyID Authenticate, a FIDO passkey authentication solution, with a major European public-sector digital services organisation signed on as its lead customer.
The product aims to solve a gap that has passkey adoption: while FIDO passkeys are designed to resist phishing, organisations have struggled to extend them beyond a handful of web applications to Windows desktops, legacy systems and VPNs.
MyID Authenticate works as both a FIDO authentication server and passkey issuer, supporting Windows 10 and 11 logon including offline use, alongside SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect for cloud and on-premise applications, and RADIUS for VPNs and legacy systems.
The launch extends Intercede's MyID suite, the credential lifecycle management platform at the core of its enterprise and government business, and the new product integrates with MyID CMS for organisations that also issue high-assurance credentials.
"Everyone agrees passkeys are one of the strongest defences against phishing. The hard part has been getting them onto every desktop and into every modern application. That is exactly what MyID Authenticate does," said Dan McLoughlin, Intercede's chief product officer.
The product will make its international debut at GovWare 2026 in Singapore, running from 13 to 15 October, where Intercede plans to demonstrate Passkey Windows Logon, offline sign-in and migration tools for existing MyID MFA customers.
