GreenRoc Strategic Materials (AIM:GROC), the AIM-listed developer of critical mineral projects in Greenland, said the purification line for its active anode materials (AAM) pilot plant is being packed for shipment to Denmark from Sepor Inc's Florida premises.
The equipment, comprising reactor tanks, rinse tanks, slurry pumps, baking and drying ovens, and a fume scrubber, was built by Sepor to specifications set by GreenRoc and technical adviser ProGraphite GmbH.
It is expected to arrive at the Hørsholm plant by the end of September.
"The shipment of the purification line for our pilot plant in Denmark represents an important practical step towards demonstrating our ability to produce battery-grade active anode material in Europe", chief executive Stefan Bernstein said.
At the Amitsoq project, Phase III drilling has completed three holes, each returning significant graphite intersections.
The first hole, AM_DD_039, intercepted the Lower Graphite Layer (LGL) with 9.7 metres of true thickness. AM_DD_040 hit the Upper Graphite Layer at roughly 36 metres depth with 4.8 metres of true thickness, and LGL at roughly 93 metres with 9.2 metres. The third hole, AM_DD_043, intercepted LGL at approximately 137 metres depth with 21.3 metres of true thickness, extending known mineralisation north of the 2021 and 2022 drilling.
Geotechnical measurements are taking longer than expected, but the field team remains confident the data needed to launch a Pre-Feasibility Study later this year will be completed on schedule.
GreenRoc has also begun work with the European Investment Bank under the InvestEU Advisory Hub, following a late-July meeting.
