GB Group (LSE:GBG), the global identity and location technology business, said trading in the three months to 30 June was in line with the Board's expectations.

Revenue growth across its core Identity and Location segments was "comfortably mid-single digit", driven by strong trading in EMEA Identity and continued momentum for GBG Go, its AI-powered global identity platform.

Global Fraud Solutions, the Group's smallest segment, is experiencing slower sales cycles and lapping a strong prior-year comparison.

Chief executive Dev Dhiman said the quarter had delivered "richer journey analytics, enhanced document and biometric verification, and deeper AI capabilities", adding that this "reinforces the board's confidence in our ability to deliver accelerated growth in the medium term, as outlined in our recent results".

The update was issued ahead of GB Group's Annual General Meeting, held today at the company's Chester offices.

News Intelligence what this means for the company

GB Group reported Q1 trading aligned with Board expectations, with mid-single-digit growth in its core Identity and Location segments—the company's largest revenue drivers—offset by slower sales cycles at Global Fraud Solutions, its smallest unit. The update offers no new guidance, earnings revision, or material operational surprise; it is a routine trading statement ahead of the AGM confirming the trajectory outlined at recent results.

Investment case

The statement reinforces confidence in medium-term acceleration (as previously guided) but provides no fresh catalyst or earnings impact. For a cash-generative, recurring-revenue business, in-line quarterly performance with no guidance change leaves the investment case materially unchanged.
