Transense Technologies, the AIM-listed provider of specialist sensor systems and smart tyre management technology, has appointed Bartec USA as a distributor of its Translogik tyre inspection tools and Tiretask fleet software in the United States.
Bartec USA is a supplier of tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) tools and diagnostic solutions to both the passenger vehicle aftermarket and commercial vehicle sectors, giving Transense access to an established customer base of fleet operators.
Under the agreement, Bartec USA will market and supply Transense's TLGX handheld inspection devices and the Tiretask tyre lifecycle management software directly to US fleet operators, with Bartec providing first-line support and training.
The deal is non-exclusive and sits alongside Transense's existing North American distribution arrangements.
Ryan Maughan, Managing Director of Transense Technologies, said the partnership would "accelerate the adoption of our TLGX series of tyre inspection tools and Tiretask software across the United States."
Scot Holloway, CEO of Bartec USA, said customers were "increasingly looking for solutions that go beyond tyre pressure monitoring to provide a complete picture of tyre health and performance," positioning the Translogik range as a natural extension of Bartec's existing offer.
