Serval Resources announced it has confirmed multiple historically defined copper showings and newly discovered surface copper mineralisation across its EPL 7081 and EPL 7079 licences in the Kaoko Basin, Namibia.
The mapping, covering about 20 km², verified visible copper in the Omatapati, Horseshoe and Ohundayamboto areas, the exploration company said.
Serval noted it had also received renewals of Environmental Clearance Certificates for EPL 7079 and EPL 7082, allowing exploration on those licences to continue for a further three years.
"It is exciting that we had our first opportunity to get feet on the ground and start to do work in Namibia," said CEO Robin Birchall.
Serval added that it will update the market on its planned Kaoko Basin exploration programme in the coming weeks.
