EDX Medical Group (LSE:EDX) has launched a corporate health and wellbeing screening service in the UK, offering biomarker testing panels that assess risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders.
The Cambridge-based company develops digital diagnostic products supporting personalised disease treatment.
The panels range from 40 to 80 biomarkers covering more than 100 disease conditions, combined with employee health and family history questionnaires.
EDX Medical has reached agreement in principle with three UK employers, totalling 14,000 employees, subject to final documentation.
Testing is expected to begin in the fourth quarter, with the company estimating fulfilment of these agreements could generate revenue exceeding £2 million this financial year, plus repeat testing in future years.
EDX Medical's nurses and logistics teams will run testing sessions in the workplace, backed by a follow-up service offering advanced diagnostics where needed.
"It is abundantly clear that early detection of a range of diseases can be transformative for both employee and employer," said Professor Sir Chris Evans, founder of EDX Medical, adding that the panels took more than 18 months to develop.
The Office for National Statistics estimated 148.8 million working days were lost to sickness or injury in 2025, with official figures putting the annual cost to the UK economy at £130 billion.
