The Rank Group (LSE:RNK), which operates the Grosvenor and Mecca casino and bingo brands, said full-year underlying operating profit for the year to 30 June will be ahead of expectations at a minimum of £76m.

Group like-for-like net gaming revenue grew 6% to approximately £834.1m for the year, with the fourth quarter showing accelerating momentum.

Digital revenue grew 12% in the fourth quarter, with the UK digital business up 12% compared with just 2% in the third quarter, despite an increase in Remote Gaming Duty to 40% from 1 April following the Autumn Budget.

Grosvenor venues grew like-for-like revenue 3% in the quarter despite disruption from the Middle East conflict affecting international travel, while gaming machine performance improved 12%, building on optimisation work after the estate expanded by 850 terminals in the first half.

The group also confirmed a £5m provision tied to a proposed regulatory settlement with the Gambling Commission over historical compliance failings at Grosvenor Casinos, following preliminary findings from a review covering November 2024 to May 2025.

The regulator has indicated it is minded to accept the settlement, with a finalisation letter still pending.

"Our expected profit outturn for the year reflects the progress we have made in executing our plan for growth, despite the significant cost and taxation headwinds that we have incurred during the year," said chief executive Richard Harris.

Rank will publish preliminary results for the 2025/26 financial year on 13 August.
