Robinson (AIM:RBN), the Chesterfield-based custom manufacturer of plastic and paperboard packaging, said a significant customer contract due to expire at the end of December will not be renewed.
The contract generated approximately £3.3 million of annual revenue and £1 million of annual contribution to gross profit, and its loss would reduce both 2027 revenue and underlying operating profit by those amounts absent any offsetting action.
The directors continue to expect that underlying operating profit for 2026 will be in line with market expectations.
Robinson said it retains a strong ongoing relationship with the customer and will continue supplying a range of products across its factory network.
The group is pursuing operational initiatives and new business development to mitigate the impact, but excluding any benefit from those efforts, the board now expects 2027 profitability to be broadly in line with 2026.
