Caledonia Mining posts high‑grade Motapa drill results and schedules maiden resource for in the third quarter

"These results demonstrate the potential to enhance Bilboes' long‑term value; consistent high‑grade intersections at Motapa North offer the opportunity to define a substantial resource close to planned Bilboes infrastructure," Mark Learmonth said.

Caledonia Mining Corporation (AIM:CMCL) released results from its 2025 Motapa exploration programme showing continuity of mineralisation along approximately 6km of the Bubi Greenstone Belt and multiple mineralised shear zones across Motapa North, Central and South, supporting potential near‑term oxide development and longer‑term sulphide targets.

Drilling in 2025 comprised 22,364m of trenching, 1,561.78m of diamond drilling and 18,547m of RC drilling, and reported selected down‑hole intersections including 6.38m at 13.95g/t (JDD11), 19m at 8.08g/t (JPRC52) and 12m at 7.12g/t (JPRC63), with true widths quoted in the company release.

"These results demonstrate the potential to enhance Bilboes' long‑term value; consistent high‑grade intersections at Motapa North offer the opportunity to define a substantial resource close to planned Bilboes infrastructure," Mark Learmonth said.

The company plans to publish a maiden mineral resource estimate for portions of Motapa in Q3 2026, will undertake infill drilling and gap testing in 2026 to test extensions between historic pits and increase activity at Motapa South as warranted, targets first gold from Bilboes in Q4 2028, and notes the technical information was reviewed and approved by Craig James Harvey, the company's Vice President, Technical Services and Qualified Person.
