It reported a record silver reading from its Molaoi zinc deposit in Greece as infill drilling continues to upgrade the resource classification.

Hole HMO-020 returns multiple zinc, silver and germanium intersections as Rockfire pushes to upgrade the Molaoi resource classification.

The exploration company will use the proceeds to fund a mine reopening permit, pre-feasibility work and continued drilling at its Greek zinc-silver-germanium project.

Hole HMO-019 extends high-grade zinc, silver and germanium intersections 50 metres below a previous hit, with grades trending higher at depth.

Rockfire Resources reported assay results from Hole HMO-018 at its Molaoi zinc project in Greece, adding another 50-metre panel to the deposit's planned upgrade to indicated resource status.

Farm-in partner Eastern Resources has reported high-grade surface gold results from Queensland.

"High-grade zinc, silver, germanium and lead values continue to be intersected, and the geological model is holding up under the scrutiny of the drilling rig," said chief executive David Price.

An engineering appraisal of the historical Molaoi underground portal in Greece found the decline to be in good condition and potentially reusable, which could avoid about 700 metres of new development and save up to €5 million.

The mining exploration group reported strong analytical results from drill hole HMO-016 and high portable XRF readings from HMO-018 as diamond drilling to upgrade the 100%-owned Molaoi zinc deposit progresses.

Rockfire’s Molaoi programme returned peak portable XRF readings of 47.7% Zn in HMO-015 and laboratory assays from HMO-011 confirm zinc, germanium, silver and lead persist to the licence's southern boundary.
