FTSE 100 seen firmer as Wall Street's Nasdaq record carries into Asia #
The FTSE 100 is seen firmer ahead of Tuesday's open, with IG's early pre-market quote marked at 10,754, up 19.6 points from Monday's close.
It follows a strong Wall Street finish, with the Nasdaq Composite closing up 607 points, or 2.29%, at 27,129.
The S&P 500 added 116 points, or 1.52%, to 7,767, and the Dow Jones rose 385 points, or 0.75%, to 52,067.
Big tech led the advance, with the Nasdaq's rally tied to a rebound in AI-linked names.
In Asia, Japan's Nikkei 225 climbed 883 points, or 1.38%, to 65,018.
Elsewhere this morning, the dollar index is little changed at 100.359, down 0.07%, while cable is indicated at 1.3381, up 0.11%.
The Cboe Volatility Index closed its previous session at 14.78, a low reading consistent with the risk-on tone.
Brent crude rallied, adding 1.37% to $98.44, and WTI was up 1.12% at $93.38 in early pricing.
The price of gold is softer, down 0.5% at $4,362, whilst crypto markets also lower, with bitcoin down 1.37% at $85,411 and ether off 1.54% at $2,733.
