Clean Power Hydrogen (AIM:CPH2) advanced 8.5% to 10.85p after signing a non-binding MoU with ABE GRUPPE to pursue commercial deployment of its membrane-free electrolyser technology.

CPH2, listed on AIM as AIM:CPH2, is the developer of patented Membrane-Free Electrolyser (MFE) technology that co-produces high-purity hydrogen and above medical-grade oxygen.

Under the MoU the parties will seek to supply, install, commission and maintain a targeted 175MW of electrolyser capacity over the next ten years across ABE and BKW’s markets.

ABE will contribute engineering, project development, grid and energy systems implementation, operations and independent certification, while CPH2 supplies its IP-protected MFE hardware and know‑how.

The partnership targets a broad customer set including renewable generators monetising curtailed wind and solar, wastewater treatment, semiconductor fabrication, life sciences, healthcare, mobility and data centres.

"This agreement reinforces the scalability and market appetite for the brand-new category of electrolyser we have developed," said Jon Duffy, Chief Executive Officer of CPH2.

The companies say the collaboration will build on CPH2’s demonstrated 1MW unit and forthcoming 5MW design as they pursue commercial opportunities primarily in Germany and Switzerland.
