Capita (LSE:CPI) will deliver training services for the British Army's Collective Training System, joining the Omnia Training consortium led by Raytheon UK.
The consortium also includes Cervus, Rheinmetall UK and Skyral, working in partnership with the British Army.
The overall contract runs for 15 years and carries a total value of £2 billion, with £54 million expected to flow to Capita over that period.
Capita's contribution covers strategic training needs analysis, training scheduling and management, and monitoring and evaluation of training effectiveness.
Damian Riley, Capita's managing director responsible for the programme, pointed to the company's track record with the armed forces, including the Royal Navy training programme and Army Adventurous Training, saying the group looks forward to "working with the British Army to help evolve collective training and ensure readiness for future operational demands."
The £54 million figure represents Capita's IFRS 15 transaction price, or order book contribution, for the full contract term.
