DP Poland (AIM:DPP), which operates Domino's Pizza stores and restaurants across Poland and Croatia, reported group system sales of £34.8m for the six months ended 30 June, up 17.5% year-on-year on a constant-currency basis and 20.6% on a reported basis.
Group system orders rose 11.5% to 2.7m, with growth driven by network expansion and positive like-for-like sales.
Like-for-like trading moderated in the second quarter, however, against a comparative period that included a significant marketing and promotional campaign in the same quarter last year.
Chief executive Nils Gornall said the group "delivered a strong first half, with double-digit system sales and order growth across both Poland and Croatia", while acknowledging the softer second-quarter order performance and pledging continued focus on order growth alongside profitable system sales expansion.
The Domino's network grew to 139 stores at half-year, 132 in Poland and 7 in Croatia, up 19% year-on-year, with franchisee-owned stores rising to 53 locations, or 38% of the estate, compared with 15% a year earlier.
Five additional Pizzeria 105 stores were converted to Domino's during the half, taking total conversions to 18 since acquisition; converted stores delivered sales growth of approximately 17.7% from their conversion date to period-end versus the equivalent pre-conversion period.
The board said it anticipates continued double-digit system sales growth in the second half, underpinned by network expansion and the ongoing Pizzeria 105 conversion programme.
