Plus500 extends Kalshi partnership with perpetual futures launch

by tickstock newsroom · Editor JMA

Plus500 (LSE:PLUS) told investors it has become the first futures commission merchant, excluding Kalshi Prime, to offer perpetual futures on Kalshi Exchange, a CFTC-regulated US exchange.

The London-listed trading platform operator, which runs proprietary technology for contracts for difference and non-OTC products including futures and prediction markets, said the launch extends its technology-led partnership with Kalshi into a new product category.

Perpetual futures, or "perps", are derivative contracts with no expiration date, letting traders hold positions indefinitely without rolling them over; Kalshi launched the first CFTC-regulated perps contract in the US in May 2026 and has since expanded the range to cryptocurrencies, commodities and indices.

Plus500 executes, routes, clears and manages risk on its own proprietary technology stack, and clears the new contracts directly as a clearing member of Kalshi Klear.

The contracts are now live across Plus500's B2B and B2B2C channels.

The move builds on a US push that has included the launch of CFTC-regulated sports event-based prediction markets with Kalshi in June and the launch of Single Stock Futures on CME Group-listed contracts in August.

"Becoming the first US FCM to offer Kalshi perps represents another significant milestone in a year of excellent progress in the US for Plus500 and it highlights the strength of our innovative, technology-led partnership with Kalshi," said chief executive David Zruia, adding that the company's US business is "capable of rolling out innovative products at speed".

Kalshi chief executive Tarek Mansour said Plus500 "was the natural choice to support our expansion into perpetual futures, further strengthening a partnership built on innovation, execution excellence and a shared vision for the future of financial markets".

Plus500 said it will look to expand its perps offering as additional contracts become available, aiming to strengthen its B2B and B2B2C channels further.
