ECO Animal Health Group (AIM:EAH), the AIM-listed animal health company, launched ECOVAXXIN MS commercially across the European Union, marking the first product from its own research and development pipeline to reach market.

The vaccine targets Mycoplasma synoviae, a bacterial infection that causes air-sac and foot-pad lesions in poultry and can reduce egg output in affected laying hens by 5 to 10%.

ECO is routing the launch through the commercial infrastructure built for its existing product Aivlosin, with distribution agreements covering EU markets that collectively represent more than 220 million layer-birds annually.

"ECOVAXXIN MS is a best-in-class vaccine backed by an established EU commercial infrastructure and a network of committed distribution partners ready to reach producers at scale," said Andrew Buglass, Chief Commercial Officer.

The official launch event was held in Madrid.

Registration filings are progressing in the United States, Latin America, and Asia, extending the potential addressable market beyond Europe.
