Capricorn Energy (LSE:CNE) shares surged, rising 6.8% to 322.7p after repaying its $30m junior debt facility two years early.

The company said the early repayment follows $81m in collections year to date from the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.

Capricorn is a cash flow-focused energy producer with onshore development and production assets in the Western Desert.
