Bradda Head Lithium (AIM:BHL) told investors it has started an infill exploration drilling programme at the Whistlejacket Lithium Pegmatite Project in Arizona.
The North America-focused lithium developer holds rights to Whistlejacket under an Option to Joint Venture agreement with Kennecott Exploration Company, which previously drilled 19 diamond holes totalling 4,188 metres at the site, with every hole intersecting lithium mineralisation, including 51.0 metres at 1.11% Li2O in hole WSTL0009.
The new programme combines that historical drilling with Bradda Head's own geological mapping, surface sampling and recent high-grade assay results to target priority lithium-bearing pegmatites.
Whistlejacket comprises nine Arizona State Land Department mineral exploration permits covering 2,010.7 hectares and targets spodumene-bearing pegmatites.
The campaign is designed to test the scale, continuity and grade of mineralisation at the project and move it toward resource definition.
