Inspecs Group (AIM:SPEC) said it has entered a strategic commercial collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies to create a connected, technology‑enabled platform intended to redefine eyewear as a technology category.

Under the arrangement Inspecs, the eyewear design, manufacturing and global distribution group, will combine its design authority, manufacturing capacity and brand relationships with Qualcomm Technologies' chipset, software and platform expertise, with Inspecs named as the first partner to adopt Qualcomm's Snapdragon START program.

The tie-up targets the development and commercialisation of smart glasses that blend "timeless design" with Qualcomm's personal AI and wearable technology, aiming at consumer and industry verticals including enterprise, healthcare and industrial applications.

"Qualcomm Technologies' collaboration with Inspecs reflects our focus on enabling a new generation of personal AI devices across industries such as enterprise, healthcare, and industrial applications," said Ziad Asghar, Senior Vice President and General Manager of XR, Wearables and Personal AI at Qualcomm Technologies.

Inspecs said the strategic investment and partnership is intended to accelerate adoption as the smart‑eyewear category scales and to position both companies among industry leaders.
