The Smarter Web Company appoints Mario Visconti interim CFO

The Smarter Web Company PLC (LSE:SWC) (LSE: SWC | OTCQB: TSWCF | FRA: 3M8) said Albert Soleiman has agreed with the board to resign as a director with immediate effect and will leave his role as Chief Financial Officer following an orderly handover period.

Mario Visconti, the company's former Chief Financial Officer and current Financial Controller and Head of Projects, "will assume the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer," the filing added, noting that "Mario provides continuity and brings extensive knowledge of the Company's financial and operational framework."

The company said it intends to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to the Board "in due course" and will provide a further update once an appointment had been made; the filing also thanked Mr Soleiman, saying: "The Board would like to thank Albert for his contribution to the Company and all that has been achieved and wishes him well for the future."
