CelLBxHealth (AIM:CLBX) has agreed a collaboration with AdventHealth to use its Parsortix platform to isolate and analyse circulating tumour cells as a pre-specified endpoint in two multi-centre clinical studies aimed at improving chemotherapy tolerability and monitoring tumour response.
The work covers ACTION, an NIH-funded adaptive-randomisation trial currently enrolling 219 colon cancer patients (NCT05773144), and SUNRISE, a digitally enabled trial of remotely delivered exercise due to start in July 2026 in 120 gastrointestinal and lung cancer patients.
"By enabling detailed analysis of CTCs through a simple blood draw, we are helping to bring precision medicine into the community," Peter Collins, Chief Executive Officer of CelLBxHealth, said.
Under the collaboration CelLBxHealth will provide the Parsortix harvest-and-analysis workflow to isolate, enumerate and PD-L1-characterise CTCs from blood samples and AdventHealth will supply clinical sites, patient access and scale across its national network of hospitals and outpatient facilities.
ACTION is already recruiting under its NIH grant and SUNRISE is slated to begin in July 2026, with both studies positioned to validate Parsortix use in routine clinical practice across a large US care system.
