Amaroq (LSE:AMRQ), the mine development company focused on Greenland's mineral potential, has started its 2026 resource drilling programme at the Nanoq gold project in South Greenland.
Three company-owned rigs are initially targeting the Central Zone, where 2025 drilling returned 187.4g/t gold over 1.5 metres and 19.6g/t gold over 4.9 metres.
The programme aims to add drilling density and test grade continuity before stepping out to the West 1 Zone, roughly 500 metres west, where surface sampling has returned up to 9.5g/t gold on a structure believed similar in scale.
Amaroq is targeting metreage broadly comparable to the 4,807 metres drilled across 27 holes in 2025, with the combined dataset intended to support evaluation of a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate later this year.
