Genedrive (AIM:GDR), the AIM-listed point of care pharmacogenetic testing company, said Mark Winkler and Mike Fairbourn have agreed to join its board as independent non-executive directors from 1 September.
The appointments are intended to bolster the board's financial, strategic, healthcare and commercial expertise as the company pushes to widen adoption of its pharmacogenetic tests in the UK and grow its international footprint.
Winkler, founder and chief executive of Red Earth Advisors, previously held senior roles at Stonehage Fleming and Deloitte, where he qualified as a chartered accountant, and is proposed to chair Genedrive's audit and remuneration committees.
Fairbourn spent almost 20 years at medical technology group Becton Dickinson, including as vice president and general manager for the UK and Ireland, and served a decade on the board of the Association of British HealthTech Industries.
Chris Yates, a non-executive director since 2018, has stepped down from the board to focus on other professional commitments.
"Mark and Mike bring highly complementary experience and skills to the Board at an important stage for genedrive as we build on the progress already made and look to further scale the business," said chairman Graham Cole.
