Tandem Group (LSE:TND), the AIM-listed leisure products and toys group, said at its annual general meeting on Wednesday that financial performance for the year ending 31 December remains on track to meet market expectations.

Group sales stood 2% ahead of the prior year at 31 May, with the board expecting that figure to be in line with its internal targets by the end of June.

Bikes was the standout division, with sales running 8% ahead of the prior year, supported by new product launches and growing momentum across independent dealers and national retail accounts; the group is also pursuing European expansion for its Squish premium children's bike brand.

Home and Garden sales surged 37% above the prior year, driven by Outdoor Living, Garden Storage and Cooling ranges, despite unfavourable weather in the first part of the year.

Toys, Sports and Leisure sales were 17% below the prior year, though the company attributed the shortfall partly to clearance activity in the comparable period that has no equivalent in 2026, saying an improved second-half performance is expected with better margins.

Golf sales were 2% behind, with confirmed forward orders expected to return the category to positive growth in the second half.

"The board remains confident in Tandem's ability to meet market expectations for the current year," the chairman told shareholders.
