It said improved free-to-paid conversion and renewed marketing drove subscriber growth, though the board flagged the need to sustain momentum.

Blackbird told investors that its net paid subscribers rose 75% between March and the end of August, reaching 696, driven by renewed marketing activity.

The video collaboration software company said its conversion rate from free users to paid subscribers climbed to 2.67% in August, up from less than 1.0%, which it attributed to product refinements rolled out this year.

The board said it is cautiously optimistic the current pace of subscriber growth can hold, provided marketing support continues at an appropriate level.

"It is gratifying to note that the product changes we have introduced this year, alongside our targeted marketing, has generated good subscription momentum in the weeks following the deployment of our GTM strategy," said Ian McDonough, Executive Chair and CEO of Blackbird plc.

"We are still early in the journey, but the revenue engine is taking shape," he added.
