Kendrick Resources (LSE:KEN) released further certified assay results for four diamond drill holes completed on three sills at its Teufelskuppe carbonatite complex.
The rare earth exploration company reported borehole TKDD006 returning 3.05% light rare earth oxides (LREO) over 37.9 metres, one of the widest and highest-grade intercepts disclosed at the project to date.
Two other holes reinforced the pattern of continuity across the sills, with TKDD007 returning 2.33% LREO over 31.58 metres and TKDD009 returning 2.51% LREO over 16.4 metres.
Peak intercepts across the batch reached as high as 3.12% LREO over 5.5 metres.
The drilling forms part of a wider campaign to verify Kendrick's in-house mineral resource estimate and upgrade it to compliance with the JORC (2012) code, work that is proceeding alongside continued diamond and reverse circulation drilling to map the depth and spread of mineralisation beneath the surface.
That work follows the Development Plan schedule the company published on 6 May.
"Excellent results demonstrating continuity and a consistency in grade of LREOs further adds to the ongoing rapid development of the TK Project," said Colin Bird, Kendrick's chairman, adding that the programme offers "the best opportunity to build a mineral resource and establish a processing flow sheet at the earliest possible opportunity".
News Intelligence what this means for the company
Kendrick Resources released certified assay results from four diamond drill holes at Teufelskuppe showing light rare earth oxide grades up to 3.05% LREO over 37.9 metres, reinforcing grade and width continuity across multiple sills. The results advance the company's campaign to upgrade its in-house mineral resource estimate to JORC (2012) compliance—work that follows the Development Plan published in May and sits alongside ongoing drilling to map mineralisation depth and lateral extent.
The certified assay results validate the continuity and grade consistency implied by earlier portable XRF data, reducing geological risk ahead of a maiden JORC resource. However, the company remains at the exploration-to-resource-definition stage; these results do not yet constitute a compliant resource estimate, and the path to feasibility and production remains multi-year.
