MS International (AIM:MSI) told investors that its wholly owned subsidiary, MSI-Defence Systems, has won a contract worth £29.7m to supply twelve DS30M naval gun systems to the German Navy's F128 frigate programme.

The defence and engineering group's systems will be installed across four vessels under construction as part of the programme, for which TKMS is the prime contractor.

MSI described the F128 programme as one of Europe's most significant current naval acquisition efforts, intended to strengthen the German Navy's anti-submarine warfare and maritime security capabilities.

Delivery of the gun systems is expected to take place over the coming years, in line with the programme's schedule.

The company said the contract reinforces the DS30M's standing as "a proven and highly capable naval weapon system trusted by leading navies around the world".

MSI added that the award strengthens its order book and reflects continued demand for its naval weapon systems in international markets.
