Aminex (LSE:AEX) has confirmed it is participating in ongoing talks in Tanzania aimed at progressing the Ntorya Gas Development, a project the company describes as strategically important.
The oil and gas exploration company said the discussions involve the Ministry of Energy, the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation, the Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority and ARA Petroleum Tanzania (APT).
The update follows reports in the Tanzanian press regarding the development and its bearing on the coordinated rollout of the project.
Aminex welcomed the continued engagement of the Tanzanian authorities and APT, thanking Dr James Mataragio, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy responsible for oil and natural gas, for convening the meeting of all parties.
