Genflow Biosciences (LSE:GENF), an LSE-listed longevity biotech, is slated to present findings from its SLAB (Sarcopenia and Longevity in Aged Beagles) trial at the Animal Longevity Summit in Toronto this autumn, on 1-2 October.
The SLAB study is evaluating Genflow's proprietary centenarian SIRT6 gene therapy as a treatment for multiple hallmarks of aging in companion animals, with the company describing the forthcoming presentation as one of the most comprehensive datasets yet produced from its veterinary longevity programme.
The Animal Longevity Summit bills itself as the first conference dedicated exclusively to animal longevity, with confirmed speakers including researchers Dr. Matt Kaeberlein, Dr. Vera Gorbunova, and Dr. Aubrey de Grey.
Genflow frames the veterinary programme as a stepping stone toward human applications, with the SIRT6 approach targeting fundamental biological mechanisms linked to aging across both species.
"The study represents an important step in evaluating the potential of our proprietary centenarian SIRT6 gene therapy approach in a real-world aging model," said Chief Executive Dr. Eric Leire.
