Sealand Capital Galaxy, the London-listed investment company building out AI infrastructure and applications, has launched MercuryGlitter, a new AI-generated content (AIGC) platform for businesses.
The platform will operate through MercuryGlitter (HK), a venture combining an external team's expertise in AI technology, creative production and software engineering with Sealand's international reach and corporate governance oversight.
MercuryGlitter is designed to cover the full content lifecycle, from creative strategy through AI-assisted production to distribution and long-term content operations, targeting advertising, brand marketing, short-form video, animation and enterprise communications.
The team is led by Bo Lyu, who brings more than 17 years' experience in China's film and television industry, including senior roles across production, distribution and commercialisation of television and film projects.
The launch adds an application layer to Sealand's existing activities in computing infrastructure, trusted data infrastructure, enterprise software, digital finance and energy-related technologies.
"Artificial intelligence is entering a new phase where competitive advantage will increasingly depend on the ability to transform AI into practical, commercial applications", said Daniel Cao, chief executive officer of Sealand Capital Galaxy Limited.
He added that the AI-powered content segment is "attractive and fast-growing", positioning MercuryGlitter as a platform Sealand believes can build long-term value for customers, partners and shareholders.
