Genflow Biosciences (LSE:GENF) reported that follow-up observations three months after initial dosing in its SLAB trial confirm previously announced improvements in aged beagles have been sustained and that no adverse events have been observed.
The company said improvements across multiple independent endpoints remain consistent with earlier results while control animals continue to show expected age-related decline. Additional analyses — including a methylation clock (biological age) assessment and muscle histology — are underway and are expected to provide further mechanistic and quantitative insight into the therapy's impact.
The SLAB study remains ongoing with all dogs actively monitored. Genflow said the trial will continue for a further four months and is expected to complete at the end of July 2026.
"These follow-up observations are important as they extend our understanding beyond initial efficacy and into persistence of effect. The consistency of improvements across multiple functional endpoints, together with the continued absence of safety concerns, strengthens our confidence that SIRT6 gene therapy is delivering a sustained biological impact," Dr Eric Leire, Chief Executive Officer of Genflow said.
Genflow added that, based on current data, it is engaging prospective partners in animal health to explore licensing, co-development and commercialisation opportunities, and that further updates will be provided as additional data becomes available.
