Gana Media Group (LSE:MOS) has entered an Embed Player Licence and Advertising Services Agreement with OneFootball UK to integrate OneFootball video into its Estadio Deportes platform and pursue advertising growth in Mexico.
The agreement will also enable reciprocal distribution of Gana content across OneFootball’s global network, expanding reach beyond the Mexican market.
Commercially the deal combines an embed licence with an ad services arrangement under which OneFootball has first‑look monetisation rights and both parties split net advertising revenues, with Gana able to monetise inventory where OneFootball does not.
Operational alignment will include joint content scheduling and optimisation to maximise video views and engagement, and the partnership is focused initially on Mexico.
OneFootball is presented in the release as a large global football media platform with about 180 million monthly active users, operations in over 30 countries and coverage of more than 200 leagues.
Gana says the tie‑up supports its "own your own media" strategy by adding premium third‑party content to accelerate audience growth and advertising monetisation.
"By combining our rapidly growing audience in Mexico with OneFootball's global reach and premium content, we are strengthening both engagement and monetisation," Mark Epstein, CEO, said.
