CRISM Therapeutics Corporation (AIM:CRTX) said it has secured a non-dilutive research and development grant of up to £99,902 from Invest Northern Ireland to support continued development of its docetaxel-ChemoSeed programme for prostate cancer.
The grant, representing 61% of eligible project expenditure, will fund manufacturing process development and scale-up, analytical method validation, in vivo pharmacokinetic, efficacy and toxicity studies, and regulatory planning, the company said.
The funded programme is scheduled to run through to March 2027 and is explicitly designed to establish scalable manufacturing and GMP translation capability and to prepare for scientific advice with the MHRA ahead of clinical development.
"Non-dilutive funding of this kind is invaluable as it permits us to advance manufacturing, preclinical and regulatory workstreams in parallel, moving the programme closer to clinical development," said Professor Chris McConville, Chief Scientific Officer.
CRISM said the work is intended to generate the data and manufacturing capability required to support future regulatory submissions and to position docetaxel-ChemoSeed for partnering, licensing or further non-dilutive funding.
