Genflow Biosciences (LSE:GENF), a London-listed longevity research company developing SIRT6-based gene therapies, said preliminary interim results from its SLAB dog trial have held up at the three-month follow-up, with no adverse events recorded.

The AIM and OTCQB-quoted firm reported no delays across its development programmes in the six months to 30 June, moving its SIRT6 platform from preclinical data toward clinical, regulatory and commercial validation.

"We reported positive interim data from SLAB, then confirmed at the three-month follow-up that the effect is sustained rather than transient," said Dr Eric Leire, chief executive.

The SLAB trial, testing sarcopenia and longevity outcomes in 24 aged beagles across four dosing cohorts, showed superior survival in all treatment groups against controls during dosing, with a favourable safety profile maintained at follow-up.

Methylation clock and muscle biopsy analysis remain outstanding, with the trial expected to conclude at the end of July.

In April, Genflow struck a technology collaboration with Acuitas Therapeutics, the Vancouver-based lipid nanoparticle delivery specialist, under which Acuitas funds formulation work at no cash cost to Genflow.

The company also published an international patent extending SIRT6 protection into muscular disease indications including frailty syndrome and sarcopenia, and expanded confidentiality agreements with additional Tier-1 animal health companies.

Gad Berdugo joined as Independent Non-Executive Chairman in January, bringing prior experience as Chief Business Officer at Editas Medicine and Nutcracker Therapeutics.

A comprehensive update on remaining SLAB endpoints is due following trial completion at the end of July, alongside a six-month efficacy readout from the separate GF-1004 dog aging study.
