Helix extends helium sales deal to March 2027

Helix Exploration (AIM:HEX) extended its spot sales arrangement with an unnamed industrial gases customer for a further six months, committing 100% of available helium volumes from its Rudyard project through to March 2027.

The deal builds on Helix's commercial debut in the helium market, which began with three tube trailer sales to the same customer during Rudyard's start-up phase.

The agreed pricing sits significantly above the assumptions used in Helix's pre-IPO model, though commercial terms including the customer's identity remain confidential in line with standard practice for helium offtake arrangements.

Deliveries will run on a continuous trailer rotation, using a mix of Helix-leased and customer-supplied tube trailers, once production resumes at Rudyard.

The company said it expects to add further wells through its ongoing production expansion programme, with scope for longer-term, higher-volume arrangements to follow as part of its push to diversify routes to market.

"Having demonstrated our capability as a supplier of high-grade helium to an important industrial gases group, we are pleased to convert a short-term arrangement into a longer-term spot sales agreement, taking advantage of strong helium demand", said chief executive Bo Sears.
