Lenovo posts record-breaking year with AI-driven growth

The global computer manufacturer reported its strongest financial year ever, with record revenue and profits driven by rapid growth in artificial intelligence and infrastructure solutions.

Lenovo (HKSE:LNVGY) ((HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) has reported its strongest financial year in history, closing fiscal 2025-26 with record revenue and profits, underscoring the company’s rapid expansion in artificial intelligence and infrastructure solutions.

The technology group announced fourth quarter revenue of US$21.6bn, a 27% increase year-on-year, marking its highest growth rate in five years. Adjusted net income doubled to US$559mn. AI-related revenue surged 84% in the quarter, accounting for 38% of total revenue, highlighting the company’s pivot toward AI as a central growth engine.

For the full year, Lenovo delivered US$83.1bn in revenue, up 20%, with adjusted net income rising 42% to US$2bn. AI-related revenue doubled year-on-year to represent a third of total revenue. All business units posted double-digit growth, with the Infrastructure Solutions Group achieving profitability for the first time, generating US$19.2bn in revenue and a US$142mn improvement in operating profit.

Maintains Lead

The Intelligent Devices Group maintained its global lead in PCs, with shipments outpacing the market by nearly six percentage points. Lenovo’s global PC market share reached 24.4%, its highest in 15 years, while Motorola smartphones recorded their best quarter ever. The Solutions and Services Group also crossed the US$10bn mark, sustaining profitability above 20%.

Yang Yuanqing, Lenovo’s chairman and chief executive, described the results as the company’s “best year ever” and said its Hybrid AI strategy had strengthened its position in AI inferencing and enterprise computing. He added that Lenovo remained on track toward its goal of becoming a US$100bn revenue company within two years.

The board declared a final dividend of 33.70 HK cents per share. Lenovo also highlighted sustainability achievements, including recognition by Corporate Knights as one of the world’s most sustainable companies
