Afarak Group SE's production in the first quarter of 2026 fell 40.2% year-on-year.

The speciality alloys producer curtailed processing volumes by 5.4% as part of inventory management to optimise stock levels.

South African mining activity was down 52.7% year-on-year, with last year’s figures including output from a mine disposed of in mid-2025.

Mining activity at the Turkish mines decreased by 20.6% compared with Q1 2025 after scheduled maintenance.

Afarak disclosed the figures in its Q1 2026 production report published on 30 April.
